Castiello de Jaca

Castiello de Jaca is known on the Way of St. James as “the village of the hundred relics”, because of the relics that have been kept in a chest in the parish church since Christian times.

The town is the natural and geographical gateway to the Garcipollera Valley, an ideal place for a walk or a bicycle route, such as the itinerary that leads from Castiello itself to the church of Santa María de Iguacel, a jewel of Aragonese Romanesque architecture, the only remains of an ancient female monastery.
