The Pyrenean resort of CANDANCHÚ is only 2 kilometres from the Somport pass:

Candanchú is not only attractive for its beautiful mountains and its variety of slopes, but also for its family character and its wide range of services. It was the first ski resort to open in the Iberian Peninsula and also the first to offer short courses. Today, whether for beginners (the Pista Grande is one of the best areas in the country for this purpose) or for those who wish to perfect their technique, the Candanchú Ski School offers skiing courses for all ages. Almost all of Candanchú’s runs are legendary slopes. El Tobazo is one of them. La Tuca Blanca, with its 2,400 metres, is the summit of the resort.
